He had been named Dexter's Man of the Year in 1988. He had been a member of the Dexter Rotary Club for almost 50 years where he served as president, was honored as Rotarian of the Year, a Paul Harris Fellow, and was instrumental in starting the "Toys for Tots" program in Dexter. He and his father had the Webber Nash-Rambler dealership in Dexter for many years he then owned and operated Webber Motors until his retirement. He was a longtime faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter. He had lived in Dexter most of his life with the exception of nine years spent in Albuquerque, New Mexico. and Emma Elizabeth Boyer Webber, was born in Dexter, Missouri on July 3, 1928, and passed away on May 6, 2014, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 3 days. Ray is survived by Joyce, his wife of 61 years, his daughters Kimberly (David Calhoon) and Lisa (Rick Gwalchmai), grandchildren Maria Pecora, Claire (Alex) Pecora, Anthony Pecora, Annie Calhoon, Jake (Cassandra) Gwalchmai, Braeden (Maddie) Gwalchmai and great-grandson Bennett.
